“Jimbo Norman skillfully blends rock, jazz, and improvisation in a unique way that takes the crowd all over the place. They play classic rock songs that everyone can get involved in, but also improvise, which many people are not used to. Personally, I love improvisation, and I feel that the classic songs mixed with the improvisation bring together a very diverse crowd.

“One thing that sets JN aside from other local bands is that the covers that they play are ones that people are familiar with, but also ones that most other bands don’t play. Their original songs, clearly display many different influences and keep the energy high.

“Anyone who bitches that the bands this weekend weren't good missed Jimbo Norman. If you had the privilege of hearing them play at Phi Psi or on Wriston knows exactly what I’m talking about. Their covers of Clocks, Superstition, and Aeroplane were incredible. They’re original stuff isn’t bad either. They had awesome jams, good music choice, and were just really fun to listen, dance, and get drunk to.”

– David Gal, Brown Daily Jolt

“Every time I have seen JN play, they have put on a great show. The members of the band play well together and feed off of what the other members are doing. One thing I would like to see more of is original tunes. The combination of more originals with well-played covers would be amazing.”

– Phil Neff, President Phi Kappa Psi, Brown University

“You guys #!@%ing rock . . . that Black Dog jam was SWEEEETTTTT.”
