History John Hemminger and Dan Manian have been playing and writing music together since 1996. At the same time Dan's brother Jeff was studying piano and by the summer of 2000 he was fully incorporated in the music. Continuously playing together and writing songs, this close-knit trio began playing small gigs and shows with lineups consisting of different friends and musicians. In the fall of 2002 Dan hooked up with singer and guitar player Brian Wood for a side project in Providence, RI. In the summer of 2003 Wood joined the family and they began calling themselves Jimbo Norman. It was not until late that summer, though, when they met accomplished drummer Tim Walsh, that Jimbo was truly born. Since their first show in the summer of 2003 the members of Norman have been playing club dates and parties whenever they can find time during their busy schedules. |
